  •  A website is a collection of web pages, photos, and other items linked together to create a bigger, structured document.Consider a website to be a book, with each page representing a web page.
  •  A website can be as simple as a single page or as complex as thousands.Text, photos, and other features will be unique to each page.All web pages and elements are then saved on your web host server in a folder. 
  • Each web page is written in codes, which specify the page's layout, format, and content.
    HTML is the most widely used coding language for creating web pages.  




  How do websites work?


It's critical to understand how websites work before you start building your own and launching it on the Internet.   
 

Here are some basic terms: 

  • A website is nothing more than a collection of web pages with codes describing the layout, format, and content of each page.
  • The web server is an internet-connected computer that receives your browser's request for a web page. 
  • The browser uses an IP address to link your computer to the server.By converting the domain name into an IP address, the IP address is acquired.

In other words, in order to display your website on the Internet, you will need:  

  • A Web site
  • A domain name
  • A server  
 Web applications typically have short development cycles and can be made with small development teams. Most Web apps are written in JavaScript, HTML5, or Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Client-side programming typically utilizes these languages, which help build an applications front-end. Server-side programming is done to create the scripts a Web app will use. Languages such as Python, Java, and Ruby are commonly used in server-side programming.

 A web server is an internet-based system that distributes content or services to end users.
A web server is made up of a physical server, an operating system (OS), and software that allows HTTP communication to take place.
 
An internet server is another name for a web server. 

What is HTTP?


 The World Wide Web's cornerstone is the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), which is used to load web pages via hypertext links.HTTP is an application layer protocol that runs on top of other layers of the network protocol stack to convey data between networked devices.A typical HTTP flow entails a client machine sending a request to a server, which then responds with a message.
